We always say Rahaf Canyon is the Black Canyon
of the Israeli desert. It is very different from other canyons in the Dead Sea area. First of all, it has a lot of natural pools filled with water, especially in winter days. Because of these waters, the canyon is filled with life, especially birds which gave the nickname of this canyon ("Rahaf" in Hebrew means "Hovering", which is the way these birds fly over the canyon.
Then there is the beautiful white rocks and narrow passages which lead you through the amazing canyon, with the use of ropes and ladders. You will descend using rappelling ropes right into the water pools and then swim your way out of the pool to continue with your way through the canyon.
And of course, you will have the opportunity to take unusual photographs on the trip you won't forget for your entire life!
